Golf Advisor: Top Courses in Australia (2022 #9)
Reviews
Phew! This is one challenging course!
Played a second time here thinking I could improve vastly on my first attempt. Wrong! I did improve but marginally. My first and last hole on my first nine were disasters. My second nine was better but I ran out of steam in the last two holes.
The course is challenging to say the least. Maybe we should have taken carts so we can have more energy tackling each hole.
The tight fairways demand exacting drives, draws and fades. The wind adds to the degree of difficulty. The greens are a level above most courses I have played on in Brisbane. Difficult to read and fast.
I play of 16 normally. I played 7 over my normal handicap yesterday and that’s with six pars.
My last game was at CarBrook where I scored 85. To break 90 here would require attention and focus and great execution tee to green. Also a golf cart would help.
This is definitely one of the better courses in and around Brisbane.
Not good fairway
fairway don't have grass many places. The cart must be returned until 4:30.
Well maintained course
Very enjoyable afternoon walking 18 holes. Course in very good condition. Not crowded. Some challenging holes.
Will be back
Great features
The course is not simple - it has some blind greens and tricky short holes - very picturesque - but also some longer par 5's and 4's. Terrific layout.
Great Course
Great course, well maintained. Challenging layout but not too hard for beginners.
GOOD LOCAL COURSE
One of the better courses in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane. They could have more access to golf buggy hire for those who don’t want to walk up/down hills. The pro-shop staff are friendly and helpful. The one bar staff on that day might as well been a robot.
Nice course
Nice atmosphere, fun course layout and good condition after all that flood. Will definitely come again.
Card did not show course layout & distance so some surprises whilst playing.
Distance Markers are in the fairway's which makes checking distances hard if you are away from them, or cant find them.
