Great all year round

Cranbourne is a great course even in winter. The staff are always friendly even if you're not a member. Don't expect to walk away with a great score it's not an easy course but well worth playing.

Good layout, but not a good winter course

The course has plenty of length and the layout was good (hardly any 'boring' holes). The bunkering looked great, (but most were mini ponds!). I played on a day which was on&off rainy (certainly not pouring) and there was LOADS of water on the ground. Plenty of mud and puddles, including on paths. Greens did not drain at all well - plenty of water on them and some were unplayable. I'd love to come back in summer as I'm sure this is a very good dry weather course.

Great golf course

This is simply a great golf course, very challenging and in great condition. The course recently held the Australian Amateur and was perfect. A must play when in MELBOURNE.

A pleasant outer suburbs track

Cranbourne is a very nice 18 hole layout in outer suburban east melbourne. The course boast a long layout with a mix of holes, some play tight, some play quite long.

A common thread are the impressive sand belt style green complexes with fast, smooth greens and big bunkers. The greens were particularly nice on this day, but they are not overly sloped. If you can’t putt here, you can’t putt anywhere.

Off the white tees the par 5s are quite fun, and quite gettable for the longer hitters. My favourite hole is the par 5 13th which really could be a hole at One of the more prestigious clubs up the road.

A fun hitout

Large Clubrooms, full driving range, warmup nets, chipping green and large practice putting green are available.

Little gem

What a great course - the Sandbelt for mortals.
Great condition and a design that makes every hole enjoyable and feel different than the one before. Because it is not long, and the design puts a premium on placing the ball in the right position to attack the hole, Cranbourne is an incredibly fun place to play.
