Great Greg Norman course
It is an excellent course. Great lay out in typical Greg Norman style, elevated greens, deep bunkers, long course. Very enjoyable and well maintained, although the 6th hole had temporary green. But didn't spoil the hole. Highly recommended when someone wants to play on the Gold Coast.
Great course, Greens staff need etiquette training
Arrived at pro shop to a friendly welcome from pro shop staff, teed off on time and it was apparent that the greens staff had been busy cleaning up after the floods. After waiting for a few minutes for the greens staff to move off the first green I continued my round and was then followed by a surrounds mower every hole until the 18 th. Never stopped while I was putting it even acknowledge me the whole time as he was too busy with his AirPods in listening to something while mowing. On my approach to 18 green I heard him say “ hurry up mate” to me which I heard from 160 mtrs away. This ruined my round which I paid top dollar for and have never come across such rude, uneducated greens staff in my whole 30 years of golfing around the country! As a former golf course employee I understand that the greens staff do a unappreciated job most of the time but this is no excuse for the attitude I received on my round today. Don’t know if I will be back again which is a shame as it’s such a great course but not paying $90 to be told to hurry up and have a mower buzzing around me all round.
An afternoon of fluctuating fortunes
The Glades is time honoured as being a great course. Clearly the whole of course flooding event, which occurred a little under two weeks ago, impacted the conditions. Still damp in many places but recovery well under way. The bunkers were ground-under-repair (GUR) and had suffered from major water inundation. The course played more challenging than four weeks ago, as a result. Although the poorer play I displayed was partly from allowing the course conditions to have more impact. Very busy day too from the number of players (all four-balls) in the field. Bunched up near the finishing two holes. All in all a great course and looking forward to going up against a great course in the coming weeks/months.
Nice course
Very disappointing
Never seen such poor condition of range balls, they looked and hit like they had been laying around in mud and water all their life.
Well over due for new range balls
2 pies and 2 cokes $24 ???????
Poor Drainage
Hi
Played this course twice both times the course was under water no offer for any discounts which I thought was disappointing had to play preferred lies.Don’t think I will be back.
Thanks Jason
Good grounds keeping
Plenty of water to lose all the ProV1s in your bag, good course layout, plenty of toilets for when your wife comes along for the drive or plays.
No signs at tee box to show fairway layout, obstacles or water. Nor screens in cart to show angles of fairway.
Unlike other courses. The 200m 150m and 100m markers aren't colour coded or too obvious. But there are markers there and on the cart path when looking for them. Course seems to be getting a face lift which is good.
